Lapsi

Lapsi

Lapsi is a coarsely ground wheat like semolina from India!
Lapsi dish is a very special sweet dish of Gujarat and Rajasthan. It is prepared with broken wheat also known as Dalia.(porridge)
As I'am not a Rajasthani or Gujrati but this dish is very nearest to my heart, because my family loved this dish!
As normally nobody likes to have Porridge in my life and i used to feed them forcefully but this Lapsi was just got finished within in 20 minutes :-)

Lapsi can be made in kadhai but i have made this in pressure cooker as it cooks faster in pressure cooker. The color of lapsi is normally brown or cream but i have added jaggery in it.As jaggery gives a beautiful color as well as yummy taste. You can add sugar also as per your choice!
For me this dish is a total healthy option that can be consumed in your breakfast or when you are badly craving for a Dessert. The sweetness of jaggery and the fragrance of Desi Ghee is just a bliss for me!
Step by step pics are available in this recipe,so it will be easier my foodie friends to make this Lovely Lapsi Dish!
