Ingredients -
1.100 grams thick yogurt. 
2.Fresh mango pulp - 1 cup (one mango is enough)
3.Honey - 1 tsp (you can add more as per your taste)
4.Oats - 2 tsp
5.Crushed Walnuts - 2 tsp
6.Cashews - 6 to 8 pieces (cut in halves)
7.Raisins - 9 to 10 pieces


 Method -
  1. Take a bowl and add mango pulp in it.
  2. Now add thick yogurt in the mango pulp.
  3. Add honey and go for a smooth blend.
  4. When the yogurt,mango and honey are mashed up properly,then pour this smoothie in a bowl.
  5. keep this bowl in fridge for at least 15 minutes.
  6. Now take a wok and your add your oats in it.
  7. Roast the oats for 5 to 7 minutes,till it starts changing its color from white to little brown and keep it aside.
  8. Take out the smoothie bowl and sprinkle roasted oats on the top.
  9. Sprinkle some raisins and cashews also.
  10. Your oatmeal smoothie bowl is ready to relish.

Cheesy Macaroni

Cheesy Macaroni
Monday blues,i think kids always feel lazy after Sundays and they don't want to go to school specially on Mondays.So to give them a bribe in their tiffin,i make this cheesy macaroni for them and they are happily ready to go to the school.
This cheesy macaroni is really yummy and the goodness of cheese is really enticing.Not even kids are going to love this macaroni,its my all time favorite too!
 


 You can make this macaroni on your kid's birthday parties or for evening snacks also.In this Macaroni i haven't used any arrabiata store bought sauce ,i have made a homemade sauce which makes the pasta spicy,tangy and have a pungent flavor as well as fragrance.With only few ingredients you can also make this sauce easily at home.I have served the macaroni with toasted bread ,you can also try this combo.So here goes the yum yum recipe of cheesy macaroni-


Ingredients -
  1. 2 cups boiled macaroni(put some drops of oil in the boiled macaroni to avoid it from sticking)
  2. For sauce 
  3. 2 tsp oil
  4. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  5. 2 onion medium sized finely sliced
  6. 3 tomatoes make a paste of it
  7. 3 to 4 cloves of grated garlic 
  8. 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  9. Salt as per taste
  10.  2 pinch of turmeric powder
  11. Black pepper powder as per your taste
  12. Red chili powder (optional)
  13. 1 tsp oregano flakes
  14. 1 tsp salted butter 
  15. Grated mozzarella cheese for garnishing on the top
  16. Fresh green coriander for flavor and garnishing
  17. You can sprinkle maggi masala on top of your macaroni.
 

Method 
  1. Take a wok add oil in it and add cumin seeds.
  2. Now add onions and grated garlic in it and fry till it turns translucent in color.
  3. Now add tomato paste in it.
  4. Stir it for 5 to 7 minutes.
  5. Now add salt ,turmeric powder and tomato ketchup in it.
  6. Add red chili powder and stir it well.
  7. When you will find the tomatoes and the spices are being mixed up well ,then add pepper powder and oregano flakes.
  8. Now add your butter in the sauce and mix it well.
  9. You can add little water around 2 tbsp if needed otherwise skip this step.
  10. Now lastly add your boiled macaroni and mix it and cook for more 2 to 3 minutes.
  11. Turn off the flame and start plating your macaroni by garnishing it with a good amount of cheese and coriander leaves.
  12. Sprinkle some maggi masala on the top and enjoy .

Homemade Bread

Homemade Bread
As this is my first attempt of making bread,i was bit scared about the result because i always believed that making bread needs lots of practice but if you are going to follow this recipe i am sure anyone can bake this bread very easily,but one has to be little patient and not lazy :-P .Yeah its true because the bread needs loads of kneading and punching by your hands.So if you want a good result then follow the important steps i am mentioning in my recipe.
Bread is one of the most important eatable thing in our life.As we enjoy taking bread in breakfast and specially in this scorching heat as we sometimes avoid making chapati.
As bread is a convenient source of food.We all buy bread from stores but do you know that these breads are not hygienic at all.
This white bread is very easy but not so quick to make,as its time taking,so take out your free time to bake this bread.


See the first picture as you can see that this bread is fluffy and with a good brown crust on the top.This time i really enjoyed my baking because while making a bread you will find the changes in your dough that how it gets doubled up is a real fun.
I have enjoyed my baking,what about you?Surely you are also going to enjoy this.
So here goes the recipe-


Ingredients -
  1. Instant dry yeast - 1 tbsp
  2. All purpose flour - 2 and 1/2 cup 
  3. Sugar - 2 tbsp
  4. Salt-3/4 tsp
  5. Soft butter - 2 tbsp
  6. Plain flour for sprinkling
  7. Butter for brushing
 
 
Method -
  1. Combine the yeast,sugar and 1/4 cup of warm water in the bowl and mix well.Cover it with a lid for 15 minutes.Keep it aside.(do not use hot water only warm water is required.Do not shake your yeast bowl just keep it at one place)
  2. Combine your flour,salt and yeast sugar mix in a deep bowl and mix well and knead it into soft dough and loose dough by using warm water.
  3. Add soft butter and knead it again to get a elastic type of dough.
  4. Knead knead for at least 10 minutes.Do not be lazy.
  5. The more you knead the bread will be softer.
  6. The dough will be sticky little in the starting,but when you will knead it with butter it wont get sticky.
  7. Now shape the dough in a round by using your hands while tucking at the edges of the bottom.
  8. Cover the dough with a dry muslin cloth and keep aside in a warm place.
  9. Observe the dough that it will get doubled up in size with in 45 minutes.
  10. After 45 minutes deflate the dough by pressing it gently with your fingers.
  11. Now sprinkle the plain flour on a smooth flat surface,place the dough over it and knead it very well.
  12. If the dough gets sticky use plain flour again.
  13. Stretch the dough with both the hands and knead it well again for 10 minutes more.
  14. Tap the dough with your fingers and spread it to make a oval shape of the diameter (10"* 8")
  15. Roll the dough to make a 200 mm(8")long cylindrical roll and roll the edges by pinching it to seal the dough.
  16.  Place the dough in the greased bread loaf tin .Cover it again with a dry muslin cloth and keep aside in warm place for more 30 minutes.
  17. Preheat your oven for 10 minutes at 180 degree and bake the bread for 35 to 45 minutes.
  18. Take out the bread and brush it with butter on the top and bake it again at 200 degrees for 5 minutes.
  19. Once the bread gets cools down completely,demould it but do not slice it immediately .
  20. Let it cool down for more 30 minutes and then start cutting it into slices.
  21. Enjoy your yummy bread with some butter or jam.

Butter Jam Cookies

Butter Jam cookies
I love cookies and jam filled are one of my favorites.I always used to buy these jam cookies from stores but this time i have tried making them in my oven!
I am very much scared of baking but i have tried and the result was fruitful.Though the shape of the cookies are not so perfect,as it was just a try but now i will be trying some more cookies for my family because i am in love with these butter jam cookies.


 These cookies are buttery in taste and very crunchy .The flavor of strawberry jam gives me hunger pangs.These cookies are a good option for your kids tiffin or you can give this with hot chocolate milk .You can add any flavor of jam which you desire like mango,orange any flavor.
Butter jam cookies are little heavy then the store bought cookies as they are made with butter and it will satisfy your hunger also.
Here goes the yummy recipe-

 
Ingredients -
Butter - 50 grams
Sugar powder - 70 grams
Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
Milk - 1 tbsp
Cream/malai - 1 tsp
All purpose flour - 100 grams

 
Method -
Take a bowl add butter and powdered sugar and mix it properly with the help of a spatula.
Now add vanilla essence ,cream ,milk and all purpose flour and knead a dough.
You can add 1 tbsp water if needed.
Take the dough and dusk some apf on the shelf and roll in into sheets.
Take a cookie cutter or any round cap to cut the sheets.
Leave half of the cookies just like that and the rest of the cookies make a well in the center of the cookies using smaller cutter or you can cut it with a bottle cap also.
Preheat the oven at 200 degree Celsius and place a butter paper on the baking tray .
Place your both of the cookies on the baking tray and bake it at 180C for 15 to 20 minutes.
After 15 -20 minutes let the cookies cool down,now take the hollow cookies and put it on the flat one and fill the hole with your favorite jam.
Put them in the oven for 1 more minute and take them off.
Enjoy your crunchy buttery jam cookies.

punjabi kadhi

Punjabi Kadhi
Punjabi kadhi is one of the most prominent and exotic recipes of India. In Northern India, pakoras are added to the chickpea gravy and sour yogurt is added to add flavour to it. They are eaten either with boiled rice or roti.Kadhi is made with different variations ranging from different countries. I made the version of punjabi kadhi in which besan is used to thicken the gravy and by adding pakoras it gives a crispy and brittle taste to the gravy.

As I relish eating punjabi food ,that is why kadhi is one of my favorites it consists of so much of masalas because of that me and my family enjoys every part of it. I usually eat kadhi with rice with a dollop of ghee and with crunchy papads.  




I remember the day when i got to know about this dish, it was just like a normal day and when i opened my fridge and tasted my yogurt and it tasted very sour in taste. I just got worried about it as i had made this yogurt in bulk. For the help, I called my mom and she then told me about her recipe of making the "Punjabi Kadhi" . Then, I was felt relieved as now my yogurt won't be wasted. 

From that day and since now , I adore making kadhi. It is just because of my mom who told me about her precious and evergreen recipe of kadhi. Now, I am thinking that I should share this golden recipe with all of you.



Ingredients -
For kadhi batter -
  1. 2 cups of sour curd (around 250 grams)
  2. 3 tbsp of besan(gram flour)
  3. 1 and half cup of water
  4. 1 tsp salt
  5. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  6. 2 tsp freshly made ginger,garlic and green chili paste.(I have taken 3 to 4 garlic cloves,1 small piece of ginger and 5 to 6 green chilies and made a paste out of it)
  7. 1 tsp coriander powder.
  8. 1 tsp freshly chopped coriander.
For pakoras -
  1. 1 no.medium sized finely sliced onion
  2. 1 and 1/2 cup of besan
  3. 1 cup water (you can reduce or increase the water for the pakoras because it depends on the quantity of besan)
  4. Salt as per taste
  5. 1 tsp Red chili powder
  6. 1 tsp freshly made ginger, garlic and chili paste
  7. 1 tsp Coriander powder 
  8. 2 tsp freshly chopped green coriander
  9. Oil to deep fry the pakoras
For Tadka-
  1. 2 tbsp vegetable oil.
  2. 1 medium sized onion finely sliced.
  3. 3 to 4 red dry chilies.
  4. 5 to 6 curry pattas.
  5. 2 pinch Asafoetida  (heeng).
  6. 2 tsp cumin seeds.
  7. 2 tbsp dry mango powder(you can use this if you want your kadhi to be little more tangy,if not then you can skip this step)
For final tempering (tadka)
  1. 2 tsp desi ghee
  2. 1 no.medium sized onion(finely sliced)
  3. 2 Red dry chilies(optional) 
  4. 1/2 tsp coarsed coriander powder.


 Method -
  1.  Take a bowl and start making the batter of kadhi by adding curd and besan ,whisk it very well .
Follow the steps as i have mentioned above by adding -
  1. 1 and half cup of water
  2. 1 tsp salt
  3. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  4. 2 tsp freshly made ginger,garlic and green chili paste.(I have taken 3 to 4 garlic cloves,1 small piece of ginger and 5 to 6 green chilies and made a paste out of it)
  5. 1 tsp coriander powder.
  6. 1 tsp freshly chopped coriander.
Whisk the ingredients very properly to avoid lumps and keep it aside.

For pakoras -
  1. Take a wok add oil heat it up properly.
  2.  Take a bowl add besan,onions,coriander leaves,paste and all the dry spices and mix it well by adding water in it.
  3. Now take the batter in your hands and drop it in hot oil and make pakoras from it.
  4. Flip the pakoras and once they starts changing it color,take them out on an abosorbent paper.
  5. Make rest of the pakoras from this batter.Keep it aside.
For the kadhi-
  1. Take a deep big wok add oil and heat it up.
  2. Add onions and stir fry them for 2 minutes.
  3. Add cumin seeds,red chilies,curry leaves and asafoetida.
  4. Let it pop up.
  5. Now take your kadhi batter and pour it in the wok.
  6. Mix the ingredients properly and add ginger,garlic and chili paste.
  7. Now let it boil properly.
  8. Add more salt,turmeric powder and mango powder.
  9. You can add more water because the curry gets thick after boils.
  10. Now sim the flame and let the kadhi get boiled up for around 1/2 an hour.
  11. Stir it in between to avoid lumps.
  12. When you will find the kadhi does not have froth and its properly mixed up with the gram flour and curd,this means your kadhi is almost ready.
For final touch of the tempering-
  1. Take a small wok add ghee heat it up.
  2. Add onions and saute it for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add dry red chilies.
  4. Stir it and close the flame when onions become translucent in color.
  5. Now pour the tempering on the kadhi with the fresh coriander leaves and coarsed coriander powder. Serve it hot steamed rice or roti.

Noodle Burger

I love having burgers like aloo tikki burger is my all time favorite.
This time i have tried something very different and that is Noodle Burger!This burger is like a jumbo burger which is having a good filling like tikki,cheese and noodles.
Its a quiet heavy and satisfactory burger which can easily kill your greedy hunger for burgers specially :-P .This burger is a quick and easy option for your kids tiffin and even you can have this in your lunch as well as dinner.
We normally go to bakery stores to buy burgers,but as summers are going on and you never know that they have used fresh ingredients are not,so why to take a risk on your health.So you should also try this yummy burger at home without any guilt!


 Noodle burger a recipe which will bring a smile on your kids face and they are definitely going to love it and they will not ask for money to get burgers from bakery stores.I have used home made aloo tikki in this burger,so your kids are going to eat freshly made tikkis also.You can search my blog for the recipe of  aloo tikki by searching #crispy aloo patties and you can easily make your tikkis at home.
So here goes the recipe for Noodle burger-




Ingredients -
  1.  1 burger bun store bought.
  2. 1 tsp yellow salted butter.
  3. 1 aloo tikki (search the recipe on my blog by typing crispy aloo patties)
  4. 1 pack of noodles (i have used hot heads maggi noodles,you can use any flavor or any noodles you like)
  5. 1 pack of tastemaker as its inside the pack of noodles.
  6. 1 cheese slice.
  7. 2 tbsp garlic mayonnaise . 
  8. 1 slice of onion (cut it in round shape)
  9. 1 slice of tomato (in round shape)
  10. 1 tbsp tomato ketchup.
 

Method -
  1. Firstly prepare your maggi as you make by adding 1 cup of water ,boil the water add maggi and tastemaker ,mix it well and keep aside.
  2. Now take the burger bun make a slit in the center and fry it in butter from both the sides.
  3. Now open the bun firstly spread your tomato ketchup.
  4. Then add a layer of maggi on it.
  5. Then put your aloo tikki on the maggi layer.
  6. Now place your onion and tomato slice on the aloo tikki.
  7. Then spread mayonnaise on the tomato and onion slices.
  8. Now put a layer of noodles again.
  9. Lastly its time to close the burger bun by adding a yummy cheese slice on the layer of maggi.
  10. Your jumbo Noodle burger is ready.
